Milan

To help travellers in their holiday or business travel in Milan, we anticipate their arrival with a very detailed recap email, containing a map to reach the apartment and all the info about the city: parking, markets, public transports and even the best restaurants we can suggest for an unforgettable experience.

How about Milan?

In Milan you can find art, shopping, fashion, business, food and entertainment. According to the kind of visit you’re looking for, on Tripadvisor you can find a lot of choices.
Of course, you cannot miss the Dome, the Castello Sforzesco, the Navigli area and the new Porta Nuova district, next to Corso Como.
Shopping main streets are Corso Buenos Aires and Corso Vittorio Emanuale, next to the cathedral.
We suggest you visiting Milan by foot and using public transport; more info in the “F.A.Q.” section below.

And how about the apartment? (F.A.Q.)

Please remember that we rent private apartments and there is no reception, so a person should appositely come to let you check-in. For this reason, it’s crucial informing in advance about your arrival time and it’s necessary to advise in case of delay, to avoid waitings.

The best way to reach Milan from the main airports (Malpensa, Linate, Orio al Serio) is by a bus/shuttle which brings you to the ”Stazione Centrale” railway station. Shuttles leave about every 15/20 minutes. Cost about 9/12€ each. Malpensa and Orio are quite far from the city center: you can consider 2 or 3 hours as journey time. Some weeks before your arrival, you’ll get a map and more precise info regarding the specific apartment you booked.

Check-in time is from 2/3pm (depending on the apartment) to 10pm. If you need to come earlier than 2pm, according to our check-in schedule we’ll do our best to let you leave your luggages, but surely not before 11.30. We can confirm this about 1 week before your arrival. Of course, before the standard check-in time housekeeping is unlikely to be completed but we’ll also give you the keys, to let you come back at any time after 2/3pm.
After 10pm is possible checking-in, you should ask in advance and an additional charge would be applied, according to the arrival time.
Check-out time is before 10.30. We won’t meet, you will leave the keys in our mailbox, downstairs.
Late check-outs are usually not possible, because we’re almost always fully booked. If you need to leave your luggage you can use the KiPoint service, inside the Central Station.

For private apartments, the tourist tax amount is 3€ per adult per night (since January 2018), and it’s always excluded. More info on the website of the municipality of Milan.

Nope, parking is not included and sometimes it could not be so easy find parkings in the center of Milan.
You can find a lot of municipal parkings (2.00€/hour from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., sunday and bank holidays excluded) in the streets around the apartment, they are marked by blue lines (DO NOT use the yellow ones). For the cheapest municipal parking spots, next to some underground stops, you can visit this url.
We can also suggest some pay-parkings nearby, their cost is from 20 to 30€ per day.

You can buy tickets on newsstands, tobacconists and directly in the underground stations.
The ATM Journey planner could be useful to estimate journey times to visit the city by underground/tram/bus.
For public transport (and museum) discounts we suggest you the Milano Card.
